In a silent night,
Inside my thoughts there was a light,
A golden light like the sun,
To a cold winter warming my heart,
And it was a big delight.
By following your shadow,
Just if there was a candlelight,
In the same golden nights,
Some hundred years ago,
I walked on the same path,
Following the traces of your feet.

Lord, now I could see,
Just a little bit like me,
That I always did,
Always walking in your footsteps.
